Don't it just make you wanna laugh? Or cry?If Canada's "information czar" is to be believed, Stephen Harper's new "Accountability Act" makes it easier for politicians to hide the truth and harder for ordinary folk to get at information.
"(John) Reid, Canada's information commissioner, says in a special report to Parliament today that no government has ever put forward "a more retrograde and dangerous" set of proposals to change the Access to Information Act."
